NEW YORK, MILANO AND PARIS – WOMEN’S A/I 2020

New York, Milan and Paris will soon be welcoming the new Maurizio Massimino A/W 2020 collection

The women’s A/W 2020 collection once again conveys a unique, inimitable message that has been refreshed and revisited by bringing together ordinary clothes with materials such as velvet, satin, nylon, wool and appliqués featuring flashes of light, distinctive buttons, bands of leather, jewels, patches, and strips of fabric with original textures. The concept devised and developed by designer Maurizio Massimino revolves around sartorial takes on classic denim and everyday items. They are adorned with highly contrasting additions that are understated in some cases and eccentric or ostentatious in others. The outlines of trousers and jackets are given a contemporary flavour by the use of materials with a variety of shapes and styles, as well as colours such as ochre, black, burgundy and sky blue.

It all comes together in exquisitely unique womenswear that stems from a blend of lifestyles and inspirations.

Research and unique qualities are at the heart of the new collection, which will be presented at:

A New York, Milano e Parigi: va in scena la nuova collezione donna A/I 2020 di Maurizio Massimino

Anche la collezione donna A/I 2020 parla un linguaggio irripetibile, unico e al tempo stesso rivisitato e riaggiornato attraverso l’accostamento ai capi ordinari di materiali diversi come il velluto, il raso, il nylon, la lana e applicazioni realizzate con punti luce, bottoni particolari, bande di pelle, gioielli, fasce di tessuto con texture originali, toppe. Il mood pensato e realizzato dallo stilista Maurizio Massimino parte dal classico denim o capo comune per poi essere rivisitato in chiave sartoriale, contaminato da elementi molto diversi tra loro, a volte eccentrici e sgargianti, a volte sobri. Le linee di pantaloni e di giacche vengono pertanto riportate al periodo attuale attraverso l’utilizzo di materiali differenti nella forma e nello stile e di colori come l’ocra, il nero, il bordeaux e il celeste.

Il risultato è una donna unica e preziosa, frutto di una mescolanza di stili di vita e ispirazioni.

The new A/W men’s collection by Maurizio Massimino revolves around research and unique qualities

It’s time for Pitti Immagine Uomo: one of the top international events in the world of men’s fashion. Once again this year, it will help to shine the spotlight on the mood of the new autumn/winter 2020 men’s collection by Maurizio Massimino. He’s combined his great love for vintage items with his distinctive tastes to create a collection that gives a fresh, unique twist to classic everyday garments.

He presents his own, individual take on vintage style by updating it with a range of materials, such as satin, velvet, nylon and Prince of Wales check, as well as appliqués inspired by the armed forces, patches, badges and tapestry designs. The shapes of trousers are given a contemporary flavour by materials with a variety of shapes and styles, not to mention colours ranging from ochre and apricot to black and indigo. Then there are the jackets: Maurizio Massimino has taken a classic velvet design and added his own personal touches to the collar, cuffs, belt and pockets, giving rise to sartorial style that is revisited yet also fresh and unique at the same time.

Ricerca e unicità raccontano la nuova collezione uomo A/I di Maurizio Massimino

E’ tempo di Pitti Immagine Uomo, una delle kermesse più importanti a livello internazionale del settore fashion maschile, che anche quest’anno vedrà esprimere il mood della nuova collezione autunno/inverno 2020 dell’uomo firmato Maurizio Massimino. Il suo gusto unito alla sua grande passione per il vintage ha dato vita ad una collezione la cui unicità risiede nel termine “rivisitazione” di capi più classici e ordinari.

Una scelta la sua che parte dallo stile vintage poi rivisitato e riaggiornato con materiali diversi come il raso, il velluto, il nylon, il galles e anche applicazioni provenienti dal mondo militare, toppe, riporti e tappezzeria. In particolare le linee di pantaloni vengono dallo stilista riportati al periodo attuale attraverso l’utilizzo di materiali differenti nella forma e nello stile e di colori come l’ocra, l’albicocca, il nero e l’indaco. E poi la giacca: partendo dalla classica in velluto, Maurizio Massimino ha saputo personalizzarla agendo sul collo, sui polsini, sulla cintura oppure sulle tasche disegnando uno stile sartoriale nuovo, unico e al tempo stesso rivisitato.

Tranoï in Paris showcases the Women’s Spring Summer 2020 collection

Maurizio Massimino stepped outside the box and presented overhauled, sartorial style in the spellbinding Palais De La Bourse during the Tranoi International Fashion Events in Paris.

The new women’s SS 2020 collection conveys the inimitable message of Maurizio Massimino, who likes to steer clear of the clean-cut, austere style that prevails among the masses in everyday life. He presents a unique take that stems from a hugely varied range of spectacular experiences.

“The Spring Summer 2020 collection tells the tale of three journeys that really brought out my creative side. It merges moods to push beyond the ordinary and make women feel precious and special. In Africa I fell in love with the colours of the sand and the soil, ranging from white and beige to chocolate hues. The resulting clothes come with zebra-pattern fabric detailing and hand-written wording. Meanwhile, I was enchanted by the idea of festive occasions in coastal locations such as Mykonos, Saint-Tropez and Capri, with backdrops formed by stripes, floral patterns, fresh and light fabrics like linen, and blue, white and sandy hues. Finally, I took my passion for the garments with a vintage flavour that I seek out across the globe and used it as the basis for research, giving them a modern twist. I mixed influences from the three journeys in outfits that reject today’s conventional approaches.

Therein lies the appeal of my new women’s collection, which is filled with appliqués, detailing, tweaked and fused styles and materials, cultures and approaches to life. It is for a woman who is at ease with what she wears. She feels unique and exclusive when she is shrouded in my unconventional style.”

Nella splendida cornice di Palais De La Bourse di Parigi al Tranoï Iternational Fashion events va in scena Maurizio Massimino che esce dagli schemi ed esprime uno stile sartoriale e rivisitato.

La nuova collezione donna SS 2020 parla un linguaggio irripetibile, quello di Maurizio Massimino, che ama allontanarsi dagli stili rigorosi e puliti che siamo soliti vedere tutti i giorni e che contraddistinguono la massa. La sua è una forma di interpretazione unica, frutto di esperienze speciali molto diverse.

“La collezione Spring Summer 2020 racconta infatti tre viaggi che hanno stuzzicato il mio essere creativo. Una contaminazione di mood per dare un taglio alla normalità e far sentire la donna preziosa e unica.

In Africa mi sono innamorato delle tonalità della sabbia e della terra, partendo dal bianco per passare al beige fino ad arrivare al color cioccolato. E ne sono usciti capi con dettagli di tessuti zebrati e scritte a mano libera. Sono stato ammaliato anche dai momenti conviviali in località di mare come Mykonos, Saint-Tropez e Capri dove righe, fantasie floreali, tessuti freschi e leggeri come il lino, e i colori blu, bianco e sabbia facevano da cornice. E poi la mia passione per i capi dal sapore vintage, trovati in giro per il mondo, l’ho tradotta in ricerca e rivisitazione degli stessi in chiave moderna.

L’interpretazione di questi tre viaggi sta nel mescolarli per creare outfit fuori dagli attuali schemi. Questa è la bellezza della mia nuova collezione donna fatta di applicazioni, dettagli, rivisitazioni e fusioni di stili e materiali, culture e modi di essere. E’ una donna che si sente bene con ciò che indossa e questo la fa sentire unica ed esclusiva, avvolta dal mio stile non comune”.

I like to step outside the box and steer clear of the clean-cut, austere style that prevails among the masses and in everyday life. With my fashion, I aim to communicate in a fresh way that is influenced by the different experiences that I have been lucky enough to have over the years. The Men’s SS2020 collection tells the tale of three journeys and three sources of inspiration that triggered my creative processes and helped me to conceive an overhauled, unique sartorial image.
In Africa I fell in love with the colours of the sand and the soil, ranging from white and beige to chocolate hues. The resulting clothes come with zebra-pattern fabric detailing and hand-written wording.
Meanwhile, I was enchanted by the idea of festive occasions in coastal locations such as Mykonos, Saint-Tropez and Capri, with backdrops formed by stripes, floral patterns, fresh and light fabrics like linen, and blue, white and sandy hues. Finally, I took my passion for the garments with a vintage flavour that I seek out across the globe and used it as the basis for research, presenting a modern take on them.
The wonderful thing about this collection is that these three worlds have intermingled and produced new outfits that reject today’s prim, stuffy conventional approaches. Va in scena Maurizio Massimino a 96 Pitti Immagine Uomo: uno stile sartoriale, rivisitato, unico.

Mi piace uscire dagli schemi, mi piace allontanarmi da quegli stili puliti e rigorosi che contraddistinguono la massa, la quotidianità. Con la mia moda voglio parlare una lingua nuova, influenzata da esperienze diverse che ho avuto il piacere di fare in questi anni. E’ così che la collezione Uomo SS 2020 racconta tre viaggi, tre contaminazioni che hanno dato il “la” alla mia creatività per ideare qualcosa di rivisitato, sartoriale, pertanto unico nel suo genere.

In Africa mi sono innamorato delle tonalità della sabbia e della terra, partendo dal bianco per passare al beige fino ad arrivare al color cioccolato. E ne sono usciti capi con dettagli di tessuti zebrati e scritte a mano libera.

La donna che veste Maurizio Massimino è una donna decisa, grintosa, determinata che sfoggia uno stile unico, autentico, frutto di una mia grande passione, quella di accostare materiali e tessuti differenti così come stili di vita, culture e ispirazioni.
